whats the best spa breaks on offer in the UK this winter.
2. Sarah | 09/07/2009 at 3:34
Hi Paul
As a fan of spa breaks myself, I have to say that the 3* Moorside Grange nestled in the heart of the beautiful Peak District is a personal favourite of mine. And, priced at £109 per person for one night stay, 1hr beauty treatment, a bottle of sparkling wine and additional extras, it’s a bargain! Or if the tranquil Lake District is what you’re after then try the 4* Macdonald Old England Hotel for an indulgent one night break including treatments, a champagne lunch and use of leisure facilities from £199 per person.
On the other hand, city spas can be relaxing too. So if you’ll be in London this festive season, consider booking the 4* K West Hotel & Spa – in my opinion, it’s the ultimate cosmopolitan treat! Prices start at £178 per person for a one night stay, 1 ½ hr treatment session, a glass of champagne and use of the hotel’s spa and gym.
If you’re still undecided why not check out our full range of spa breaks at: http://www.superbreak.com/features/spa-breaks.htm
Hope this helps!

If you want to venture out of the city for a bit of peace and quiet, then why not escape to:

I have booked a rail break with you from Glasgow to London, we leave on 28th May, can you advise if I have to book our train seats? As this is a holiday weekend I was worried in case all trains get full?
Thanks for your help
Vicky
30. Sarah | 13/04/2010 at 2:32
Hi Vicky,
I would highly recommend booking your rail seats during the busy bank holiday period, particularly for your return travel from London. If you take your rail tickets to your local rail station, they should be able to make seat reservations for you.
Hope this helps!

60. Sarah | 12/10/2010 at 8:17
Hi Elaine
There are a number of inexpensive hotels located in and around Dublin. Obviously prices are subject to change depending on the date of travel, but hopefully I’ve provided a few ideas for you!
The 3* North Star Hotel is approx 5-10min walk to O’Connell Street and is located opposite Connolly Station and the DART/LUAS tram stop, which is ideal if you fancy a day at the coast or even simply to travel into town. The LUAS stops near the Jamieson Whiskey Distillery and Guinness Storehouse if you’re planning a day of sightseeing. Be sure to check out our 2 day Dublin Pass for great savings, if you do!
The 4* Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane is located off the banks of the River Liffey and just a short walk to all the shopping, music and theatre venues of the O2 and Grand Canal Theatre.
For something a little more special, why not try out 5* mystery hotel. formerly one of Ireland’s most historic houses, standing in magnificent formal gardens and is located 3 miles from the city centre and half a mile from Dublin Bay.
Dublin airport is approx 10km from Dublin centre (approx 40mins to O’Connell Street) and you’ll find a number of bus companies operating outside the arrivals terminal. My advice would be to buy a return ticket as it often works out cheaper than two singles. Alternatively, if you prefer to stay outside the city centre, we have plenty of Dublin airport hotels on offer, why not try the 4* Radisson SAS Hotel Dublin Airport.
Hope this helps, Sarah

HI SARAH,
Its my mums 80th birthday soon. I just wondered if you could give me any ideas on where to go and what to do. We,v been to London quite a few times to see various shows. and enjoyed them very much. However I would like to do something different for her birthday. HELP ! ! !
76. Sarah | 17/01/2011 at 9:55
Hi Jill, an 80th really does need something special!
There are lots of lovely hotels to visit with some fab spa facilities for a nice relaxing weekend or a trip to Paris on the Eurostar would certainly be a trip to remember. The Edinburgh Tattoo is something I am hoping to do this year or even the Windsor Tattoo in May; it will give London a whole new twist for you. If you wanted to have a chat to someone about it our call centre is open 8am-11pm on 0871 221 3344 and they will be more than happy to help you make this trip perfect.
Hope this helps
let me know how you get on x

Hi Sarah
I have some vouchers for Superbreak, and would like to book and stay at the ”Holiday Inn & Resort” in Nice. But I am told this is not possible.
Why is this,- when it is possible to book other Holiday Inns in most places??

Hi Sarah, I am intrested in the eurostar 2 night breaks, is there a brochure available for me to look at before I ring the reservations team as I prefer to browse before I book.
Thanks,
Alison

Hi Alison,
Thanks for getting in touch, we don’t currently have a brochure for the Eurostar and as it is such a new product for us it isn’t available to book online. What I would suggest before you call our reservations team is browsing through our hotels in Paris http://www.superbreak.com/paris-hotels-PA2.htm as this will help you decide where you would like to stay and give you some ideas on what days you would like to go.
Hope this helps

Hi Graham,
Thank’s for your question, due to the amount of hotels in the Holiday Inn chain we are unable to work with them all and despite working with a huge majority of them, on this occasion the Holiday Inn & Resort in Nice is one that isn’t contracted with Superbreak. We do however have a good selection of hotels in Nice that you can use your Superbreak Vouchers to book. If you have any questions about any of the hotels our reservations department will be more than happy to help, you can call them on 0871 221 3344
Hope this helps

the survey we’ve been sent by e-mail doesnt appear to work. 3 seperate times we have filled it in completely, for it to then come up with an error saying the ‘there hsa been an error, and could we please try again later’
89. Sarah | 28/02/2011 at 9:21
Hi Hazel thanks for letting us know it’s not working for you. I will send you an email with the form in if you would like to fill it in, we have our web team looking into the fault now so hopefully that won’t happen again.

Hi Sarah, great idea to have this blog. I am looking for a simple hotel or b and b for myself and 2 children for the Olympics- yes it’s that time. I can book the rooms but the majority of hotels do not have the facility to book more than 1 year ahead! This has always been like this -same with the airlines- so why don’t you start a campaign to change it! Everything is computerised so why can’t i book 2 or more years before. As long as i pay why should the company care?
Meanwhile can you find me a hotel next to Earls Court 1st August 2012 and 2-6 August next to Greenwhich Park and 6-8th August next to Olympic Park.
Good luck!

Great idea Laurence!
Unfortunately we are up against the same thing as you. We also struggle to get availability with the hotels that far in advance. Especially now the Olympics have been announced, our contracting team are working incredibly hard to negotiate rates and room allocations from all our London hotels so hopefully we should have something soon! We contract all of our hotels on a yearly basis so at the moment for example you can only book until April 2012 but we are uploading new hotel availability every day.
If you are on Twitter @superbreak or Facebook I would follow our feeds because as soon as we have confirmed rooms over the Olympic period we will announce them on there. Sorry I couldn’t be more help at this time! But we will do our best when we have the rooms to get you exactly what you are looking for.

Hi – any deala on Southampton pre- and post-cruise hotel/parking?
93. Sarah | 19/05/2011 at 8:28
Hi Janine, thanks for getting in touch.
We have a couple of hotels in Southampton that offer one night stay and car parking. If you were looking for a night before you travel and then parking as well as an additional night after the cruise, you would need to make 2 bookings. You would book one with the night you want to arrive which would include your parking then one with out parking for your return. Some of the best we have are the Hilton Southampton with 14 days parking is one of our most popular ones as is the De Vere Grand Harbour which offers parking from 8-28 days!
Hopefully this helps you but if you need any more help don’t hesitate to get in touch with our call centre on 0871 221 3344, they will be more than happy to price some hotels up for you

Thanks for that, Sarah, that’s a big help. What a great facility this blog is for people like me who don’t like spending ages on computer searches. Thanks again. x
